About
Meet your therapist.
I am an RCI-registered Clinical Psychologist with an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS. I work with young and middle-aged adults, supporting them through a wide range of emotional, psychological, and interpersonal challenges with a process-oriented, trauma-informed, and compassionate approach. I believe that every individual deserves a therapeutic space where they feel safe, respected, and understood, allowing them to explore their experiences without fear of judgment and at a pace that feels right for them. My therapeutic philosophy is rooted in the belief that healing is not about simply managing symptoms but about understanding the deeper patterns, experiences, and relationships that shape our emotional well-being. I strive to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship where clients feel empowered to better understand themselves, strengthen their resilience, and develop meaningful, sustainable ways of coping with life's challenges. I primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, psychotic conditions, personality-related difficulties, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, identity concerns, and interpersonal difficulties. I recognise that psychological difficulties are often influenced by biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors, and I approach every client with sensitivity to their unique lived experiences, values, and identities. My therapeutic approach is integrative, evidence-based, and person-centred, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Rather than applying one model to every client, I thoughtfully adapt these approaches based on each person's individual needs, goals, and circumstances. I also practice through a culture-sensitive and queer-affirmative lens, ensuring that therapy remains inclusive, respectful, and affirming for individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities. I believe that recognising the influence of culture, identity, and social context is essential in providing meaningful psychological care. My clinical work is further strengthened by specialised training in trauma and evidence-based interventions. I hold certifications in Digital Clinical Practice from the British Psychological Society, Treating Trauma with Internal Family Systems (IFS) from PESI UK, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through Virtued Academy International, Trauma-Informed Psychological Interventions, and Suicide Prevention Gatekeeping. These advanced trainings allow me to support clients experiencing complex trauma, emotional distress, and high-risk situations with sensitivity, clinical competence, and evidence-based care. In addition to my clinical qualifications, I am UGC-NET qualified and remain committed to lifelong learning and professional development. I am a member of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (IACP) and the Association of Humanistic Psychology, and an International Affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA).
